@ Bikermancam18 Hmm. . Not sure why it would tilt. You can actually use blocks of wood to clamp it if it slids. Just channel out a section for the frame in each block of wood and sandwich it? in there.

@ Chebbus In the U.S.? all hardware stores carry them pretty much. Not sure in the United Kingdom. You can get them on eBay.

awesome idea! I just went out tonight and got an 18 inch pipe, pipe clamp and secured it to the wall with the flange. Put the bike up on it and it worked great! i just need? to find a good way to clamp it down. however, mounted on the wall, it looks like it is tilting slightly downward. I used 1 / 4 “x 2″ lag screws to secure it to a wall stud. Any suggestions?

I want to make one of these stands but a floor standing version. I’m having major trouble trying to find a pipe clamp anywhere?? Do we sell these in the UK as none? of the major hardware stores have them?

Nice stand, I looked at a similar one (It’s on quite a few sites), but eventually made one for much less than $ 25! Its on my blog, would not let me post a link but its atquickbeer dot blogspot dot comThen look for the ten ? Pound maintenance stand link in July 2011

Aaaaaaw! Great idea! I am a custom wood worker and I have lots of these! Never thought of this! Love the vid!. . . . . . . btw. . . . you know Harbor Freight has the bike stand for $ 29 rite? It’s the same one at Wal Mart for $ 99 (2 bike capacity. Oh yeah, HF has the clamps for like? 4 bucks a set! Do not buy em ‘all…. I need some for me!…. Tee hee he. Great Job on the Vid Johnny!
